We focus on talent, no matter who they are, where they come from, or their story before Trinity. The College is committed to ensuring that all students can take advantage of every opportunity during their time in Cambridge. No student should feel prevented from studying at Trinity because of their financial background, or experience hardship while studying here.

We recognise that many of our students are from backgrounds which are under pressure financially, particularly in the wake of the increases in the cost of living. Home and EU undergraduates now pay tuition fees of £9,250 per year, and for international students this figure is much higher. Students are also expected to take out loans to cover living expenses, but these often fall short of what they need to keep up with the rising costs of student life.

Alongside our generous scholarship support for International bursaries, Trinity has led the way in meeting home student financial shortfall by devising and piloting the Trinity Maintenance Grant (TMG), which is given in addition to the Cambridge-wide student support bursary. Alumni donations have been vital to the success of the TMG, but more is needed to secure this for future generations.

Donations to student support helps us to maintain and grow bursary, scholarship, and hardship provision for our students, ensuring that all Trinity students can concentrate on their studies without worrying about debt and unexpected expenses.

Any gift you make to Student Support today, will help change students’ lives, now and for generations to come – Thank you.
